Clair Shenton

Clair Shenton graduated from Curtin University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art), having previously been a chartered accountant for many years. Her art practice acknowledges human rights issues, especially feminism, in a playful activist approach. Her work includes the mediums of sculpture, textiles and/or painting by employing the traditionally female act of sewing to create unconventional oil paintings and soft sculptures. She regularly contributes to group exhibitions at galleries around Perth and Fremantle and also exhibited in many community-based shows.
